Box Score (pdf)Romeoville, Ill. – The No. 11 Lewis University men's volleyball team swept Quincy, 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-11), to capture the season series on Friday (March 4) at Neil Carey Arena.
The Flyers improve to 18-6 on the season and 8-3 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association action, while the Hawks fall to 13-15 on the year and 0-11 in the league.

Geoff Powell (Claremont, Calif./Claremont) paced the Flyers with 10 kills and two aces while junior outside hitter
Greg Petty (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) collected eight putaways, four aces and four block assists.
Junior opposite
Eric Fitterer (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) hit .778 with seven kills and no errors on nine attempts while collecting four block assists as redshirt senior setter
BJ Boldog (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) had 24 assists, five digs and four block assists. Junior libero
Lucas Yanez (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) tallied nine of the Flyers 24 digs.
The Flyers controlled the match from the start as they hit .441 with 32 kills and six errors on 59 attempts while holding the Hawks to a .013 (22 K, 21 E, 77 TA) hitting percentage.
Led by six total blocks by sophomore middle blocker
Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel), Lewis out blocked Quincy 12.0 to 4.0.
The Hawks were led by Jack Gamache's eight kills while Jarrod Kelso tallied five putaways. Quincy setter Brian Rogan dished out 17 assists.
The Flyers return to MIVA action on Saturday (April 5) when they host Lindenwood at Neil Carey Arena. First serve is set for 7 PM.
