The No. 3 Lewis University men's volleyball team (6-1) is set to take on non-conference opponents Barton (2-4) on Friday (January 30) and Sacred Heart (1-2) on Saturday (January 31). Both matches will start at 7 p.m. The Flyers will sign post match autographs on Friday evening. Saturday is Block Blue Prostate Cancer Awareness Night. VS. BARTON – This will be the first ever match-up between the Flyers and Conference Carolinas member Barton.

VS. SACRED HEART – The Flyers swept Sacred Heart January 25, 2014. Senior outside hitter Greg Petty (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) hit .706 with 14 kills and two errors in 17 swings. Petty also picked up seven block assists, four digs, and two services aces in the Flyers victory.

POINT FLYERS – The Flyers enter Friday's match-up out-scoring their opponents 595-492 on the season averaging their best results in the third set by a margin of 46 points (175-129).

200 WINS - Lewis head coach Dan Friend picked up his 200th victory with the Lewis men's program on Saturday (Jan. 24) with the Flyers' 3-1 win at Penn State.

WE PLAY THE HITS - The Flyers' .356 attack percentage is the best in the nation.

HE PUTS UP A WALL-SH -   Bobby Walsh (Chicago, Ill./Mount Carmel) ranks seventh in the nation in blocks per set (1.42).

ON POINT - Eric Fitterer (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) ranks seventh in the nation in points per set (4.83).

UP NEXT -  Lewis plays four straight MIVA matches following the Barton and Sacred Heart matches.
