Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team seeks to extend its winning streak to seven games, as the visiting Flyers (9-1, 1-0 GLVC) square off with Truman State (9-3, 1-1 GLVC) on Sunday (Jan. 4) for a 3 PM tip-off at Pershing Arena.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis junior guard
Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) led five players in double-figures with a career-high 23 points, as the No. 22 Flyers surged past Truman State, 82-65, at Neil Carey Arena on Jan. 3, 2014.
LAST TIME OUT - Sparked by a 23-6 run to open the second half, the No. 23 Flyers cruised to the 79-59 win over Quincy in their GLVC opener on Friday (Jan. 2) night.
THE LAST TIME - Lewis guard
Max Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) has recorded two double-doubles in his freshman campaign for the Flyers. He is the first Flyer rookie to record a double-double since his brother Marty Strus (2008-12) accomplished that feat in 2008.
SMOKIN' HOT - Lewis has won 38 of its last 47 contests dating back to the 2012-13 campaign for a winning percentage of .809.
RANKED SCHMANKED - Lewis has defeated at least one nationally-ranked Division II team in each of the last four seasons. The Flyers have not met a ranked team thus far in 2014-15.
TOP 10 - Lewis senior guard
Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) (1,451 points) is in ninth place in school-history in career points. He needs 60 points to pass Al Latham (1957-61) for eighth-place.
1,000/700 ON THE HORIZON - Senior forward
Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) needs 118 points to reach 1,000 for his career and 98 more rebounds to become just the fourth Flyer in school history to notch at least 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in the Division II era.
WINNING WITH CLASS - Lewis' current senior class (2011) needs 11 wins to reach the most victories (75) by a Trost recruiting class, set by last year's seniors.
POUNDING THE GLASS - Lewis currently holds a +8.1 rebounding margin over their opponents through nine games this season. That would be the highest rebounding margin of any Flyer team under Trost's tenure. The previous high under Trost was +4.2 in 2007-08.
BENCH MOB - Lewis' bench is averaging 27.9 points and shooting 51.7% (106-for-205) from the field and 44.7% (38-for-85) from three-point range.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis has hit at least 10 three-pointers in three games this season. The Flyers needed the entire 2013-14 campaign to achieve that same feat. They are averaging 7.4 trifectas per game this season.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN (PART DEUX) - Lewis is shooting better from three-point range (40.9%) than their opponents are shooting overall (40.6%). The Flyers currently lead the GLVC in three-point shooting percentage.

David Niggins (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) is shooting 46.9% (30-for-64) from three-point range in his last 17 contests.
TAKING THE LEAD - In Lewis' nine wins this season, they have trailed just 8:59 out of a possible 360 minutes played.
POURING IN POINTS - Lewis has scored 90+ points twice this season in 10 contests. That's the most times the Flyers have reached the 90-point plateau since they did it three times during the 2011-12 campaign.
SIZEABLE VICTORIES - Lewis has had seven victories of 20+ points or more this season. That's the most since they won eight games by 20+ points or more during the 2003-04 season.

WELCOME BACK - Lewis returned to the NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Caoches Poll at No. 23 in the poll an Dec. 30th.
SOLID PROGRAM - Lewis is one of three schools in Division II that has both of their basketball teams ranked in the Top 25. The Lewis women's basketball team is ranked No. 2 in the country in the December 16th WBCA Division II poll.
SCORING IN BUNCHES - Lewis is averaging 80.7 points-per-game in 2014-15, which is the best scoring average by a Flyer team since they poured in 80.9 points-per-game in 1994-95.
