"We are tired, sore and a little beat up," Lewis head coach
Roger Karns said. "It's right where I want them to be. FIT is a good, solid team and swam very well. I was satisfied with our effort given the circumstances. On top of the enormous training load of the past week, swimming outdoors presents a unique set of issues. The wind blows the backstroke flags out of line. It can be cold and windy, and it was today. But we made good efforts and did as well as we could expect."
Lewis is back in the pool on Saturday, Jan. 10 against Olivet Nazarene. The non-conference home meet will start at 1 p.m. at the Lewis Pool.
