PDF BoxSPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Lewis men's soccer fell 3-0 at Drury on Sunday (Oct. 18) afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Harrison Stadium.
Drury opened the scoring in the seventh minute on a tally by Julien Chevy. The Panthers' Matt Clarkin scored at 22:38 to make it 2-0. The goal was assisted by Ben Bruce. Drury added a third goal in the 40
th minute by David Cross on a header from Antonie Vial.
It stayed 3-0 the rest of the way.
"Confidence comes into play when they put an early goal in," Lewis head coach
Evan Fiffles said. "We need to make better decisions in game scenarios. There is no magic wand and no secrets to success. We'll keep working to continue to get better until the final whistle blows."

Aaron Menyes (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove North) played the final half for Lewis in goal, making one save for a scoreless 45 minutes.
Lewis falls to 1-12-1 (1-10-1 GLVC). Drury improves to 7-5-2 (7-3-2 GLVC). Lewis returns home on Friday (Oct. 23) to face Rockhurst at 7:30 p.m. If you can't make it to Romeoville the game will be streamed on GLVCSN.
