Romeoville, Ill. - University of Southern Indiana sophomore forward Pedro Castro broke a scoreless tie with an unassisted blast past Lewis University goalkeeper
Justin Salazar (Elburn, Ill./Hinckley Big Rock) in the 75th minute to help the visiting Screaming Eagles to the 1-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the host Flyers at Lewis Stadium on Friday (Oct. 9) night.

Evan Fiffles said. "We have to get better at taking care of the ball and creating some more opportunities offensively."
With the victory, Southern Indiana improves to 4-6-1 overall and 2-6-1 in GLVC play, while the host Flyers fall to 1-9-1 on the season and 1-7-1 in conference action.
USI outshot Lewis, 15-12, but the Flyers held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
USI goalkeeper Adam Zehme made five saves in goal for the shutout, while Salazar stopped three Screaming Eagle shots.
Lewis returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 11), as the Flyers welcome Bellarmine for a 2:30 PM first kick at Lewis Stadium.
