Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team concludes the home regular season on Saturday (Feb. 14), as the Flyers (17-6, 9-5 GLVC) welcome Missouri S&T (9-13, 2-12 GLVC) to Neil Carey Arena for 'Senior Day'. Tip-off is set for 3 PM.

Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network. Â
ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 8-0 advantage over the Miners in their all-time series. Â
LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis used a 22-2 first half run to spur them on to the 75-60 GLVC victory over Missouri S&T at Billy Key Court on February 13, 2014.
LAST TIME OUT - Lewis shot 75% (18-for-24) from the field and turned the ball over once in the second half as the host Flyers won their fifth-straight contest with the 76-52 GLVC victory over Drury at Neil Carey Arena on Thursday (Feb. 12) night.
COMEBACK FOR THE AGES - Lewis rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit, including being down six points with less than 20 seconds left, in their 74-73 win over William Jewell on February 5th. That is the biggest Flyer comeback since they rallied from a 16-point, first-half deficit in an 84-70 win over Alaska Anchorage on November 13, 2010.
WE SHOCKED THE WORLD - Lewis' 70-61 win over Indianapolis on January 31st was its first victory over a No. 1 ranked team since an 82-77 triumph over Southern Indiana on January 2, 2004 in Evansville.
RANKED SCHMANKED - Lewis has defeated at least one nationally-ranked Division II team in each of the last five seasons, following their win over No. 1 Indianapolis.
TOP 10 - Senior guard
Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) (1,634 points) is sixth in school-history in career points. He needs 58 points to pass Brandon Dagans (2005-09) for fifth place.
THE LAST TIME - Lewis guard
Max Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) has recorded two double-doubles in his freshman campaign for the Flyers. He is the first Flyer rookie to record a double-double since his brother Marty Strus (2008-12) accomplished that feat in 2008.
WELL DONE ROOKIE - Strus has scored at least 20 points in a game four times this season. He is the first Flyer freshman to score 20 points in a game since Jackson did it in 2011-12.
WINNING WITH CLASS - Lewis' current senior class (2011) needs two wins to reach the most victories (75) by a
Scott Trost recruiting class, set by last year's seniors.
1,000/700 ON THE HORIZON - Senior forward
Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) needs 36 points to reach 1,000 for his career and one more rebound to become just the fourth Flyer in school history to notch at least 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in the Division II era.
TOTALLY TO THE MAX - Strus is the highest scoring (23rd, 13.0 ppg.) freshman in the GLVC.
MID-RANGE JUMPER? - Lewis has scored just 144 points this season that have not been either a three-point FG, a FG in the paint or a free throw. Those points amount to just 8.0 percent of the Flyers' scoring this season.
POINTS IN THE PAINT - The Flyers have a decisive advantage down low, as Lewis is averaging 36.8 points-per-game in the paint to their opponents' 20.8.
Â
POUNDING THE GLASS - Lewis currently holds a +5.7 rebounding margin over their opponents through 23 games this season. That would be the highest rebounding margin of any Flyer team under Trost's tenure. The previous high under Trost was +4.2 in 2007-08.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Lewis has hit at least 10 three-pointers in four games this season. That's the most times the Flyers have hit at least 10 trifectas since they did it five times during the 2011-12 campaign.
POURING IN POINTS - Lewis has scored 90+ points three times this season in 23 contests. That's the most times the Flyers have reached the 90-point plateau since they did it three times during the 2011-12 campaign.
SIZEABLE VICTORIES - Lewis has had 10 victories of 20+ points or more this season, which is the most by a Flyer team during the Division II era (1980-present).
CLOSE CALLS - Lewis' six losses have been by an average of 4.8 points-per-game, including one overtime loss against No. 6 Bellarmine (Jan. 22).
FROM LONG RANGE - Sophomore guard
Capel Henshaw (Harrisburg, Ill./Harrisburg) is currently third in school-history in career three-point FG%, as he has converted 44.7% (55-for-123) of his attempts.
FROM LONG RANGE (PART DEUX) - Lewis, led by Henshaw, has seven players who shoot 35% or above from beyond the three-point arc for their careers.
DISHING DIMES - Jackson needs 14 more assists this season to become the first Flyer to record at least 100 assists since Dennis Thomas, Jr., registered 101 in 2010-11.
SMOKIN' HOT - Lewis has won 46 of its last 60 contests dating back to the 2012-13 campaign for a winning percentage of .767.
POST PLAY - Prior to Lewis' current five game winning-streak, forward
Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) and Lewis were averaging a combined 12.4 points-per-game for the Flyers. During the streak, Lewis (10.2 ppg.) and Nelson (9.0 ppg.) have combined for 19.2 points-per-game.
TAKING CARE OF THE BALL - Lewis is averaging a mere 8.8 turnovers in their five-game winning streak, twice tying a team-season low with six miscues.
SENIOR DAY - Prior to tip-off, Lewis will recognize seniors
Mantas Dubauskas (Naperville, Ill./St. Joseph),
Ryan Herron (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville),
Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton),
David Niggins (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central),
Gabe Williams (Chicago, Ill./Farragut), Jackson and Lewis as a part of 'Senior Day'.
