ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis baseball dropped a pair of contests on Friday (May 6) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader at Brennan Field. Lewis lost the first game 16-9 and the second 10-2. It is Lewis' first time being swept in a twin bill this year since April 2.
The Flyers now find themselves on the outside looking in to the GLVC Tournament if the season ended today. However a sweep on Saturday (May 7) of Bellarmine would vault Lewis ahead of the Knights and into the tournament.
"We still have everything in our control," Lewis head coach
Tim McDonough said. "That is what we need to keep in mind and just focus on a good day of baseball tomorrow."
