Biography

2016 Highlights: Started in 6-of-12 games played for the Flyers…accumulated a team low era of 3.19… second on the team for strikeouts (43)…went on four-game save streak vs. Ashland (March 4), at Truman (March 12), against Kentucky Wesleyan (March 19) and UW-Parkside (March 26)…recorded first win after only allowing two earned runs in 6.0 innings against Saint Joseph’s (April 16)…recorded season high of 10 Ks after allowing only two runs in 7.0 innings at Illinois Springfield (April 9)…shutout Southern Indiana (April 23) after only allowing three hits and striking out four in 7.0 innings.

2015 Highlights: Threw 21.1 innings as a relief pitcher...had the team's only six saves with an era of 3.80...stunk out 19 of the 75 batters faced...allowed one hit in four innings with three Ks against McKendree (March 28)...had three consecutive saves against Illinois Springfield (Apr. 11-12).

2014 Highlights: Pitched in 10 games with nine starts…earned a team-high seven wins…didn’t allow a run in a 7.0 inning complete-game effort vs. Maryville (March 23)…allowed two earned runs over 7.0 innings to get the win vs. Ashland (March 6)…allowed two runs in a 7.0 innings vs. Bellarmine (May 4)…gave up three earned run in a winning effort vs. Saint Joseph’s (March 31).

Prep/Personal: Helped the Joliet Catholic Academy to three ESCC Championships and was named to the WJOL All-Tournament team in his junior season...also played for the Upper Deck Cougars in 2012...during summer season, he posted an 0.81 ERA, allowed 11 Hits, struck out 40, and only gave up five walks in 26 innings of work...son of Rose and Greg Couch...Sports Management major.
