Louisville, Ky. - Bellarmine University ended the 15-match winning streak of the No. 1 ranked Lewis University women's volleyball team with the 25-18, 26-28, 25-18, 13-25, 15-13 Great Lakes Valley Conference upset victory over the Flyers at Knights Hall on Saturday (Oct. 21).

Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) and sophomore middle hitter
Caroline Stefanon (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) combined for 55 kills, which was more than Bellarmine's team total of 51.
Preuss had a match-high 18 kills, followed by 14 from Schneider. Seliga had a double-double of 12 kills and 10 digs, while Stefanon pounded home 11 kills and finished with a hitting percentage of .471 (11 kills, 3 errors, 17 attacks).
With the win, Bellarmine improves to 18-5 overall and 8-3 in GLVC action, while the Flyers fall to 20-2 on the campaign and 9-1 in conference play.

Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) had a double-double of 56 assists and 10 digs, while sophomore libero
Ronni Katarzynski (Winfield, Ill./West Chicago) had a match-high 19 digs.
The Flyers had a tough time from the service line and at the net against Bellarmine, as they had 14 service errors for the match and the Knights' outblocked them 11-5.
Bellarmine hit .185 (51-21-162) as a team, while the Flyers recorded a hitting percentage of .180 (69-35-189).
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Oct. 27), as the Flyers head to Springfield, Mo., for a 7 PM showdown with Drury.
