Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University's trio of
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn),
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) and
Caroline Stefanon (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) recorded more kills than Southern Indiana as a team, as the No. 3 Flyers collected the 26-24, 25-22, 25-16 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over the visiting Screaming Eagles at Neil Carey Arena on Friday (Nov. 10) night.
The trio combined for 35 kills and hit .475 (35 kills, 7 errors, 59 attacks), while Southern Indiana recorded 32 kills and a hitting percentage of .082 (32-23-110) as a team. As a team, Lewis hit .303 (48-15-109).
Schneider had 13 kills and hit .579 (13-2-19), while adding four block assists. Hyland notched 12 kills and hit .375 (12-3-24), while Stefanon picked up 10 kills and six total blocks (2 solo) while hitting .500 (10-2-16).
With the win, Lewis extends its winning streak to seven matches, improving to 27-2 overall and 16-1 in conference play. Southern Indiana drops to 12-18 on the campaign and 5-12 in GLVC action.
