Quincy, Ill. - Friday (Feb. 24) Lewis University men's tennis picked up it's fifth straight win after defeating conference rival Quincy University 8-1.
Lewis won doubles 3-0 and singles 5-1
Mate Srdanovic (Split, Croatia/Graditeljsko-Geodetska Tehnicka) and
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) defeated Erik Eldagsen and Colin Adams 6-4 in doubles No. 1. Lewis'
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Brendan Peterson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) beat Danyil Vayser and Wyatt Pauley 6-0 in No. 2. In doubles No. 3
Chandler Stimpert (Graceland, Ill./Morton) and
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) beat Michael Lesko and Ryan McMillan 6-3.
In the five singles wins, Srdanovic beat Eldagsen 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1. Braschinsky won 6-4, 6-1 against Vayser in singles No. 2. In singles No. 3 Norasith beat Adams 6-1, 6-3. Peterson won 6-2, 6-3 against Daniel Lozier in singles No. 4. Stimpert took singles No. 5 with the win over Lesko 6-3, 6-2.
Saturday (Feb. 25) Flyers take on Newman University at 1:00 PM.
