Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 7 Lewis University men's volleyball team took advantage of 44 total McKendree errors (27 hitting, 17 service), as the Flyers collected the 27-25, 25-21, 25-13 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association victory over the visiting Bearcats at Neil Carey Arena on Thursday (March 16) night.
The Flyers held McKendree to a hitting percentage of .013 (28 kills, 27 errors, 80 attacks) on the evening.
Lewis redshirt sophomore opposite hitter
Mitch Perinar (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) topped the Flyers with 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .296 (11-3-27).
With the win, Lewis improves to 17-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play, while the Bearcats fall to 7-15 on the campaign and 2-7 in MIVA action.
