Indianapolis, Ind. - The Lewis University baseball team took a 2-0 lead over Division I Butler into the sixth inning, but the host Bulldogs took advantage of five Flyer walks and scored six runs in the frame to pick up the 7-3 non-conference victory at Bulldog Park on Wednesday (March 22).

Brandon Popp (Roselle, Ill. /Lake Park ) was tagged with the loss for the Flyers. Popp (0-2) did not retire a batter and issued three walks - all of which came around to score.
With the victory, Butler improves to 13-7 on the campaign while the Flyers fall to 4-13.
Lewis junior center fielder
Jermaine Terry (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) provided the offensive highlights for the Flyers, as he connected for a two-run homer in the third inning.
Lewis opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Saturday (March 25), as the Flyers head to Somers, Wis., for a 12 PM doubleheader against UW-Parkside.
