DeMasi was able to bat in the ninth inning, thanks to the two-run, game-tying home run from from freshman third baseman Kendyl Strack (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) in the bottom of the eighth inning to even the score at 7-apiece.

Lewis reliever Paige Fossey (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) picked up the win for the Flyers, allowing three runs and four hits in 5.2 innings of work. Fossey struck out one batter and issued three walks.

Flyer freshman right fielder Emily Guske (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) and sophomore first baseman Carley Maupin (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) each went 3-for-4 and drove in a run in the victory.
