Sam Cybulski (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Lyons Township), the Lewis University baseball team fell short against Saint Xavier on Tuesday (Apr. 11), as the host Cougars claimed the 8-1 non-conference win over the Flyers at Ferrell Field.
Zeschke was 3-for-4, while Cybulski was 2-for-5 at the dish.
With the win, Saint Xavier improves to 16-21 on the campaign, while Lewis falls to 6-25 overall.
Lewis starting pitcher
Jay Militello (Elmwood Park, Ill. /Fenwick) took the loss for the Flyers. Militello (1-3) allowed five runs, five walks and two hits in 1.2 innings of work, while striking out three batters.
Lewis returns to action on Friday (April 14), as the Flyers head to Rensselaer, Ind., for a 12 PM doubleheader against Saint Joseph's.
