Rensselaer, Ind. - The Lewis University baseball team and Saint Joseph's combined for 55 runs and 14 home runs in their Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader on Saturday (Apr. 15), as the Pumas won the opener 14-7, while the Flyers picked up the 23-11 (8 inn.) win in the nightcap at Gil Hodges Field.
With the split, Lewis is now 8-27 overall and 4-12 in GLVC action, while the host Pumas move to 24-13 on the campaign and 7-9 in conference play.
Lewis returns to action on Tuesday (Apr. 18), as the Flyers welcome Quincy for a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 1 PM.

Lewis pounded out a season-high 23 runs, 22 hits, 18 RBI and four home runs, as the Flyers rallied from an 8-1 third inning deficit on their way to the 23-11 (8 inn.) win over the Pumas in the nightcap.
The top six batters in the Flyer lineup batted .625 (20-for-32) with 18 runs, 16 RBI and four home runs.
