Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University men's tennis won their second match of the weekend against McKendree Saturday (April 8) 7-2.
In doubles competition
Mate Srdanovic (Split, Croatia/Graditeljsko-Geodetska Tehnicka) and
Alan Braschinsky (Tallinn, Estonia/Milna Harma) defeated Abel Moreno and Ben Muller 8-4 at No. 1. Srdanovic defeated Maico Egbers at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2. Braschinsky beat Muller 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
At doubles No. 2
Andre Norasith (Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Brendan Peterson (Elmhurst, Ill./York) earned the win 8-6 against Ognjen Jevtic and Ethan McCafferty. Peterson beat Johnny Hu 6-4, 7-5 at No. 4 singles.
Anton Levitin (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) and
Chandler Stimpert (Graceland, Ill./Morton) defeated Maico Egbers and Hu at No. 3 doubles 8-6. At No. 5 singles Stimpert defeated Jevtic 6-2, 6-1.
Lewis closes out the regular season April 15 against Illinois Springfield starting at 11:00 AM.
