Quincy, Ill. - The No. 3 Lewis University women's volleyball team - powered by a 20/20 performance from junior outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) - picked up its ninth-straight win with the 21-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-19 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Quincy University at the Pepsi Arena on Saturday (Sept. 30).
Hyland finished with a match-high 20 kills along with 21 digs, while hitting .320 (20 kills, 4 errors, 50 attacks).
The Flyers also received 12 kills from both senior middle hitter
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) and redshirt senior right side
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall). Seliga finished with a double-double of 12 kills and 21 digs.
With the win, Lewis improves to 14-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play, while the host Hawks fall to 2-13 overall and 1-6 in GLVC action.

Haley Sobieralski (Indianapolis, Ind./Franklin Central) dished out a match-high 25 assists, while sophomore libero
Ronni Katarzynski (Winfield, Ill./West Chicago) totaled a match-high 24 digs.
Lewis outdug Quincy, 99-80. It was the most digs by a Flyer squad since they picked up 100 against Rockhurst on November 21, 2015.
The Flyers hit .225 (59-21-169) for the match, while Quincy registered a .113 (45-25-177) hitting percentage.
Lewis returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 3), as the Flyers host UW-Parkside for a 7 PM showdown at Neil Carey Arena.
