Chicago, Ill. - Lewis University faced the University of Chicago and Olivet Nazarene Friday (Jan. 12), losing to both 177-99 and 171-88 respectively.
Knoblauch took first, second, and third in three of his events. In the 200 yard backstroke he placed first finishing in 1:53.79. He placed second in the 100 yard back with 51.99 and third in the 200 yard individual medley with 1:59.02.
Adam Tapia (Clearwater, FL/Tarpon Springs High) placed second in the 500 yard freestyle with 4:42.40 and third in the 200 yard freestyle with 1:42.79.
In the 100 yard breaststroke
Sumner Latta (Oshkosh, Wis./Oshkosh North) finished in third with a time of 1:02.40
Coming in second with a time of 2:12.58 in the 200 yard breaststroke was
Jesse Drake (Goshen, Ind./Northridge) rounding out the Flyers individual effort.
Alexander Kotevski (Eksiltuna, Sweden),
Brock Star (Grandville, Mich. /Grandville), Latta, and Knoblauch also swam together in the 400 medley relay placing third with 3:35.32.
The next meet for Lewis will be the a head-to-head against Lincoln College for senior day on January 19.
