CHICAGO, Ill. – The seventh ranked Lewis Flyer men's volleyball fell in straight sets at sixth ranked Loyola on Wednesday evening at Gentile Arena. The Flyers (11-5, 5-2 MIVA) finished the match with a hitting percentage of .151 and was led by Ryan Coenen (Franklin, WI/Franklin) with 10 kills while Tyler Mitchem (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) finished with five kills.

Lewis struggled to slow down the Rambler (13-3, 6-1 MIVA) offense in the opening set allowing them record 21 kills and hit .581 in the frame. The Ramblers used a 12-2 run early in the third set to break a 3-all tie on its way to the 25-10 set win. Loyola hit .375 in the final set while holding the Flyers to a negative hitting percentage.

The Ramblers finished the match recording 49 kills against nine errors and had a hitting percentage of .449. Gevis finished with a match-high 16 kills while Collin Mahan added 11 kills.
