ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University women's basketball team is in the preparation stage for a trip to France May 20-30, 2019, but the Flyers need your help.
The Flyers will visit Paris, historical sites such as the World War II D-Day Invasion site at Normandy, explore incredible landmarks and experience playing basketball in Europe. The team will all also receive knowledge in the history concerning Lewis University and its founder, John Baptist De La Salle.
"We are so excited to embark on this European journey," Lewis women's basketball head coach
Samantha Quigley Smith said. "With the concepts of academic credit and exploring Lewis University's mission, it is going to be a once in a lifetime experience for our student-athletes."
"I anticipate that this trip will broaden my understanding of our global community allowing me to have a greater appreciation for what it means to attend a Lasallian university and live the mission," junior
Carly Graverson (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) said.
With one click of a button, this venture can be successful via social media channels, such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Please share this Crowdfunding Campaign so the women's basketball team can enjoy this wonderful personal, learning and playing experience.
