ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Friday (April 26) that Lewis University's
John Partee (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) has been named the GLVC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 21.
It's his second career Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honor.
Partee ran the 800 meters in an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 1:50.97 to finish 35th at Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational. His effort leads the GLVC by nearly two seconds and is currently 16th in NCAA Division II.
"I'm excited about John's performance at Azusa this past weekend," Lewis men's assistant track and field coach
James Kearney said. "It wasn't the ideal race execution but the time was a personal best and it has me excited to see what he runs here soon!"
The Flyers are in action this weekend at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
