ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis men's swimming team won all 14 events in dual meet with Maryville on Friday (Jan. 22) evening at the Lewis Pool. The Flyers topped the Great Lakes Valley Conference Saints 183-31.
Junior
Jackson Mugg (Cheyenne, Wyoming/Cheyenne East) won the 500 free (4:48.77) and the 1,000 free (9:58.02). Senior
Ruben van Leeuwen (Eindhoven, The Netherlands/CIU/Christelyk Lyceum Veenendaal) turned in a time of 1:42.37 in the 200 free and also added a win in the 50 free (21.28). Junior
Mariano Sosa (Olavarria, Argentina/) turned in a performance of 53.37 in the 100 back, good for first place and also won the 200 back (1:54.92).

Rhys Taylor (Nottingham, England/National C of E Academy) won the 100 breast (58.49) and the 200 breast (2:08.68). Junior
Ari Kissel (Berlin, Germany/) turned in a time of 1:58.09 in the 200 fly and also added a win in the 200 individual medley (1:56.16).

Brock Star (Grandville, Mich./Grandville) won the 100 free with a time of 48.47 seconds and sophomore
Jose Javato (Caceres, Spain/Norba Caesarina) picked up a win in the 100 fly (53.27).
Sosa, van Leeuwen, Kissel and
Jabari Ramsey (Land O' Lakes, Fla./Land O' Lakes) teamed up for a win in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:35.99.
Star, van Leeuwen,
Adrian Wlodarz (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) and
Ethan Fox (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) combined to pick up a win in the 400 free relay turning in a time of 3:12.47.
The Flyers are back in the pool on Sunday (Jan. 24) at Olivet Nazarene in a 3 p.m. meet.
