Lewis Men’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 14 Rockhurst On Saturday

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University's men's lacrosse team hosts 14th ranked Rockhurst this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lewis Stadium. Spectators will be allowed to attend Saturday's contest provided they fill out the COVID Screening Form by clicking on the above link or by filling one out when they arrive at the game.

The Flyers (2-1, 2-1 GLVC) have won two straight after picking up wins over Quincy and Davenport last weekend. They're averaging nearly 13 goals per contest and have allowed only nine per game.

Drew Kask (Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada/Dr. Charles Best Secondary School) leads the team in scoring with seven goals and seven assists for a total of 14 points while Nolan Dalep (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) and Micah Daigle (Erie, Pa./McDowell) have each scored six goals and Talon Heath (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) has added five goals.

Peter Carlson (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South) has won 62.8 percent (44-for-70) of his faceoff attempts this season and has scooped up a team best 35 ground balls.

Josh Calvin (Scottsdale, Ariz./Notre Dame College Prepatory HS) has a 9.07 goals against average, has made 35 saves and has a save percentage of .574.

The Hawks enter Saturday's contest with a record of 2-0 overall and in the GLVC after opening their season with home wins over Davenport and Quincy. Rockurst is averaging 15.5 goals per game while allowing only seven per contest.

Alec Heflin leads the Hawks in scoring with six goals and an assist for seven points while Sam Lindahl has two goals and four assists for a total of six points. Brooks Hanson, John Myran and Ricky Bloom have five points apiece.

Sal Valdivia and Nick Mostrom have combined to win 73.1 percent of the team's faceoffs. Valdivia leads the team with 13 ground balls while Graden Soucy has scooped up 12 ground balls. Soucy also leads the team with eight caused turnovers.

Boomer Kubik has started both games in goal and has a goals against average of 6.29, has made 15 saves and has a save percentage of .577.
