ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced today (July 6) that seven members of the Lewis University women's bowling team earned All-Academic recognition for the 2020-21 school year. The Flyers also earned the team award.
The team award goes to all teams that earned a GPA of 3.2 or better. The Flyers had a cumulative GPA of 3.366, which is the third consecutive year Lewis received the award, which went to 59 programs.
For the individual award, you had to post a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic year. Those earning the award were
Erin Biccochi (Ladd, Ill./Hall),
Amber-Grace Carroll (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East),
Kayla Dench (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East),
Kylie Johnson (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere North),
Erica Lohr (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Savannah Magruder (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) and
Jenna Sussenbach (Naperville, Ill./Plainfield North).
Lewis finished its season with a 22-26 record and a No. 8 ranking in the final Divison-II/III poll.
