ADDISON, Ill. - The Lewis University women's bowling team placed 10th out of 57 teams Sunday at the Illinois State Bowling Proprietors Association (ISBPA)/Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic at Stardust Bowl.
The Flyers were in 19th place after Saturday after a 4,576 total through five traditional games, but came back Sunday with a 3,860 in 20 baker games, the 7th highest total of the day and a 193 average. They had 19 games of 165 or better with high games of 246 and 241.
On the day Lewis converted 96.4 percent of its single pins (54-of-56), 87.4 percent of its makeable spares (97-of-111) and filled 85 percent of its frames (170-of-200).
Individually the Flyers were led by
Kylie Johnson (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere North) with a 973 over five games.
Erica Lohr (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) added a 958,
Kayla Dench (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East) had a 948,
DeAlani Fishbeck (Lawton, Okla./Lawton) shot a 915,
Alyson Young (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) had a 317 in two games,
Amber-Grace Carroll (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East) had a 167 game,
Savanna Jourdan (Oswego, ILL./Oswego) had a 158 game and
Kelsey Olson (South Beloit, ILL./Hononegah) added a 140 game.
Mount Mercy won the team title with a 9,461 total, while Wichita State was second with a 9,399 and Tennessee Southern was third with an 8,968.
