Flyers Ranked Ninth In NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University's men's basketball is ranked ninth in the Midwest Region in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings which were released on Wednesday afternoon.

The Flyers (14-8, 14-3 GLVC) are one of three teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference ranked this week. Truman State checks in as the top ranked team in the region while Southwest Baptist is 10th.

The top eight teams in the final rankings will advance to the NCAA Tournament March 12-15 at the site of the number one seed. The eight teams in the final rankings will be announced via selection show on the evening of Sunday (March 6) on NCAA.com.

Lewis has won 14 of its last 17 contests heading into Thursday's game at Maryville at 7:30 p.m. The Flyers can clinch the number one overall seed in next weekend's GLVC Tournament with two wins in their final two conference games this weekend.
