ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University's women's golf team is ranked 10th in the East Region in the season's final set of NCAA Division II regional rankings, released on Thursday.
The 15-team regional will be held at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., May 2-4 – one of four regionals being conducted that weekend. The participants will compete through 54 holes of competition, with the top three teams along with the top three individuals not with an advancing team moving on to the national championships.
The Flyers are track for its fifth NCAA berth and fourth in the last eight years. Lewis' best NCAA finish came in 1998-99 when they finished fifth at nationals. Final selections for the regionals will be announced on Monday (April 25).
