BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lewis University women's golf team opened its season with a fifth-place finish at The Bulldog Classic hosted by Ferris State from Sept. 14-15. The Flyers shot a total of 956 (+92) over the three rounds. Junior
Eve Garvey (Al Rayyan, Doha, Qatar/American School of Doha) finished seventh, the Flyers' best finish.
Garvey's best round was a 77 (+5) in round two. University of Wisconsin-Parkside's AJ Powell took home the first-place individual win, finishing with a total of 227 (+11). The McKendree Bearcats took home first place as a team, shooting a 939 (+75).
