ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University's women's golf team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on Monday afternoon. The Flyers were dubbed the No. 10 seed in the East Regional and will be one of 15 teams at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., on May 2-4.
Lewis is making its fourth appearance in the regional tournament and first since 2017. It will be joined by other Great Lakes Valley Conference teams at regionals, including GLVC Champ Indianapolis (No. 2 seed), Missouri-St. Louis (No. 4 seed), Lindenwood (No. 6 seed) and McKendree (No. 11 seed).
This year's championship will feature 48 teams and 24 individuals going into the regional round. The top five teams in the east, south and west regions, the top 3 in the central along with the top two individuals from each region not on these teams will move on to the championship at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. Regional competition is set for May 2-4 across four locations: Davie, Florida; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Kansas City, Missouri; and Stockton, California. The finals will be held May 10-14.
