AUSTIN, Texas -- The No. 15 Lewis University men's volleyball team took the first set before Stanford won three straight to win the match in four, 3-1, during the first day of the First Point Collegiate Challenge Friday.

SET BREAKDOWN
FIRST SET: Lewis 26, Stanford 24
- Stanford led 6-1 early in the first set before a kill by Prayer as the Flyers looked to get back in the set.
- The Cardinal led 10-3 in the set before Lewis scored five straight points capped off by a kill from Cole Brillhart (York, Pa./Northeastern) made it 10-8 Stanford.
- Stanford would hold onto their sizeable lead for most of the first set.
- The Cardinal led 23-20 late in the opening set before Lewis went on a 6-1 rally for the comeback victory which was capped off by kills from Prayer and Roquet to go up 1-0.
SECOND SET: Stanford 25, Lewis 23
- Both teams each traded five points to start the second set before Stanford went on a rally to go up 10-7.
- Lewis tried to crawl back into the set after a kill by Michael Sack (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) but the Cardinal held onto their lead.
- Roquet kept the Flyers alive after recording a kill on set point but Stanford picked up the next point to win the second set 25-23.
THIRD SET: Stanford 25, Lewis 20
- Lewis opened the third set with back-to-back kills by Brillhart and Prayer.
- Both teams traded points before Stanford went up 9-5 in third set.
- Sack cut it down to 12-10 in favor of the Cardinal before Stanford scored four straight.
- Stanford went up 18-11 midway through the third set before Syver Drolsum (Vikersund, Norway/Toppvolley Norge) recorded a kill.
- Moments later, Drolsum cut it down to 21-17 with another kill.
- Sack and Kauling recorded a block to make it 23-20 Cardinal but that was the closest the Flyers got as Stanford got back-to-back points.
FOURTH SET: Stanford 25, Lewis 22
- Both teams each scored six points to start the fourth set.
- Stanford rallied for three straight points to go up 9-6.
- Lewis tried to fight back and cut it down to 13-12 in favor of the Cardinal but Stanford had the upper hand.
- Rodriguez-Elias recorded a kill and Lewis got the next point to get the Flyers right back in the set at 22-21.
- The Cardinal outscored Lewis 3-1 the rest of the set to win 25-22 and capture the match 3-1.
FINAL SCORE: Stanford 3, Lewis 1
