INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA has announced that the Lewis University women's basketball team has made the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament as the No. 7 seed in the Midwest Region, taking on second-seeded Drury. The tournament is set to commence Friday, March 10 with top-seeded Ashland University serving as the host of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. There are eight regions total comprised of eight teams each for a 64-team field. 

The Lewis University women's basketball team currently has a 21-10 record this season and is coming off a loss in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Championship against Drury (30-1), which is ranked No. 2 in the country. It will be the fourth meeting this year between the two schools with the Panthers winning the first three. Lewis held a lead midway through the third quarter in the GLVC Championship before the Panthers took control of the game.

The Flyers are making their 16th tournament appearance and first since 2020, which the game was canceled due to COVID-19.

Tickets are $20 for reserved seating per day, $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors. For an all-session pass, tickets are $75 for reserved, $55 for general admission and $35 for seniors and students general admission.
