OZARK, Mo. -- The Lewis University baseball team took both games of the doubleheader against Drury Saturday (April 22) at US Baseball Park. The Flyers won the first game 3-2 then captured the second 4-2.

SUMMARY
GAME 1: Lewis 3, Drury 2
Drury jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning after a two-run double.
Lewis got on the scoreboard in the sixth after
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) grounded out and scored
Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin).
The Flyers rallied in the seventh with two runs to take a 3-2 lead.
Angelo Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) tied it after recording a RBI single which scored
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly).
A couple batters later,
Cain Headrick (Custer Park, Ill./Providence Catholic) gave Lewis a 3-2 lead after hitting a sacrifice fly which scored
Ian Nguyen (Anoka, Minn./Coons Rapids) from third.
Jake Karaba (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) (5-1) picked up the win after going seven innings, giving up three hits, allowing two runs, walking three and striking out 15.
GAME 2: Lewis 4, Drury 2
Drury scored first in the opening inning after a sacrifice fly made it 1-0.
The Panthers doubled its lead in the third inning by capitalizing off a Lewis error which made it 2-0.
Lewis was able to get tie in the fifth after
Kevin Barry (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) reached on an error that scored Cantelo and Alt.
George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead in the sixth after his RBI double scored Headrick.
Lewis had its final tally of the contest moments later after Alt hit an infield single that scored Bilecki to make it 4-2.
Matt Helwig (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) (1-2) got the win in relief after 3.2 innings, not allowing a run or hit, walking one and striking out six.
Luke Carlson (Granville, Ill./Putnam County) got the save after picking up three outs in the seventh.
