ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced Tuesday (July 11) that six members of the Lewis University women's bowling team earned All-Academic recognition for the 2022-23 school year. The Flyers also earned the team award.
The team award goes to all teams that earned a 3.2 GPA or better. The Flyers had a cumulative GPA of 3.349. It is the fifth straight year Lewis received the award.
For the individual award, you had to post a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic year. Those earning the award were
Savanna Jourdan (Oswego, ILL./Oswego),
Erica Lohr (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Kelsey Olson (South Beloit, ILL./Hononegah),
Estelle Ryan (Memphis, Tenn./Saint Agnes Academy),
Katharine Svehla (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and
Alyson Young (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville).
Lewis finished the season with a 55-53 record, the third time in five seasons the Flyers finished with a winning record.
