ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Lewis University baseball team won its 11th straight game as the Flyers defeated Purdue Northwest 6-5 at Brennan Field Wednesday (April 24).

GAME SUMMARY
Both teams did not score in the first inning before Lewis scored a pair in the second frame.
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) hit a sacrifice fly to center field which scored
Tony Fleischauer (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) from third to make it 1-0.
Thomas Fox (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Christian) doubled the lead with a RBI single which scored
John Henry Russell (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) to make it 2-0. PNW got one run back in the top of the third which made it 2-1 in favor of Lewis.
Purdue Northwest scored four runs in the fourth inning which gave the Pride a 5-2 lead. Lewis was able to get one back in the bottom of the fourth after
George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) grounded out to second which scored
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) and made it 5-3.
Lewis took a 6-5 lead in bottom of the sixth inning with a three-run frame.
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) ripped a two-run single to left which scored Fox and and
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) to tie it at 5-5, then scored on
Angelo Cantelo's (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) sacrifice fly to put the Flyers ahead.
Seth Nanna (Carmel, Ind./Westfield) (1-0) recorded the win after throwing 2 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit, issuing two walks and striking out two.
Jackson Bruno (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame Prep) recorded his second save of the season after a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit.
