SET BREAKDOWN
SET 1: Lewis 25, UC-Santa Barbara 19
Lewis jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after an ace from Krueger-Beer. UC-Santa Barbara tied it at 4-4 moments later.
Both teams went back-and-forth until Lewis extended it out to 19-14 after a kill from
Daniel Haber (Remsenburg, NY/Westhampton Beach). UCSB tried to fight back but the Flyers had the upper hand the rest of the set and won it 25-19.
SET 2: UC-Santa Barbara 25, Lewis 17
Both teams each traded six points to begin the second set. The Gauchos responded with back-and-back points to grab a 8-6 advantage.
UCSB held onto a lead throughout the set until Lewis tied it 14-14 after a block from Morgan and Krueger-Beer. The Gauchos bounced back with seven straight points to grab a 21-14 lead.
Lewis tried to get back in the set after a pair of kills from Oguz made it 22-16 in favor of UCSB. UCSB closed out the second set and won it 25-17.
SET 3: Lewis 25, UC-Santa Barbara 18
Lewis jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after some miscues by UCSB. The Gauchos tried to get back in the set after making it 8-5 in favor of the Flyers.
The Flyers got back on track after a pair of kills from Oguz. UCSB was able to make it down to 12-10 before Lewis responded with four straight points which was capped off by a kill from Krueger-Beer.
UCSB cut it down to 20-17 in favor of Lewis but then it was all Flyers after that. The Flyers outscored the Gouchos 5-1 the way capped by a kill from Haber to win the set 25-18.
SET 4: Lewis 28, UC-Santa Barbara 26
Lewis picked up an early 3-1 lead after a kill from Haber. UCSB would go on and take a 12-7 lead later including a stretch where they outscored the Flyers 5-1.
The Flyers were able to bounce back and tie it at 15-15 after a kill from Roquet. Both teams would go back and forth until Lewis got back-to-back points to make it 21-19.
The Gauchos got two back of their own and then both teams would go trade points until it was 26-26. Lewis was able to win the set 28-26 and the match 3-1 after kills from Krueger-Beer and Haber.

Lewis will be back in action Saturday, February 1 as the Flyers travel to Malibu, Calif. and take on No. 10 Pepperdine starting at 3 p.m. CT.
