Springfield, Mo. - The Lewis University women's soccer team drew another match on Friday after a long battle with the Drury Panthers.
With the match Lewis moves to 4-1-5 overall and 3-1-3 in the conference while Drury becomes 5-2-3 overall and 4-1-3 in conference play
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams traded offensive opportunities with Lewis having a total of ten shots and Drury with eleven. The highlight of the game came from the gloves of Josie Graziosi (Galena, OH/Big Walnut). At the 32:48 mark Drury was awarded a penalty kick which Graziosi saved in order to keep the game at 0-0, which ultimately acted as the final score.
Graziosi played a full 90 minutes with three saves while Keva Culkin started for the Panthers but was subbed off for Katy Fitzler who played the rets of the match with five saves.
MATCH NOTES
- Graziosi has now doubled the amount of shutouts from last season with two.
- Graziosi is also averaging only one goal per contest which is the 9th best in the conference.
- Breanna Culver (Roscoe, Ill./Wisconsin-Milwaukee) and Jada Harvey (Roscoe, Ill./Rockford Christian) lead the Flyers in shots on goal.(10)
