INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced Thursday (Dec. 11) that Lewis University senior Katharine Svehla (Elmhurst, Ill./York) is the GLVC Athlete of the Week for Women's Bowling. It is the second time this year that Svehla was named Athlete of the Week after earning the honor Oct. 23.

Svehla helped the Flyers qualify third out of 19 teams at the Warhawk Open over the weekend. She placed 10th out of 161 bowlers in traditional play, averaging a 182.4, recording an 86 percent fill percentage, 95 percent makeable percentage and 100 percent single pin spare percentage.

In baker play she averaged 18 pins per frame, filling 76.5 percent of frames with a 44 percent strike percentage and an 83 percent single pin percentage.
