ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University women's basketball is ranked in the top 25 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division II Poll and D2CSC Division II Media Poll. In the WBCA Poll, the Flyers are ranked No. 22 and in the D2CSC Poll they are No. 20.
Lewis currently owns a 19-2 record and a 13-1 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Flyers are in first place in the GLVC.
"Earning a spot in the top 25 is a testament to our team's hard work and dedication," Lewis Women's Basketball Head Coach
Keisha Newell said. "We are grateful for the recognition, but also understand that it's not the finish line. We are eager to keep working to get better everyday."
Lewis returns to the court Thursday, February 13 as the Flyers travel south and take on McKendree starting at 5:30 p.m. CT.
