Alvarado, Jourdan Earn All-GLVC Accolades

QUINCY, Ill. - The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced on Thursday (March 20) that Lewis University women's bowlers Carolina Alvarado (Metepec, Mexico) and Savanna Jourdan (Oswego, ILL./Oswego) earned All-GLVC honors. Alvarado earned All-GLVC Second Team, while Jourdan was an All-GLVC Honorable Mention selection.
 
Alvarado took home All-GLVC honors for the third time in her career. She was Honorable Mention in 2023 with Quincy and in 2024 for Lewis. Alvarado averaged 18.83 pins per frame with an 80.4 percent fill percentage. She converted a career-best 89.8 of her single pins and 78.9 percent of her makeable spares. She struck a team-best 43.2 percent of the time.
 
Jourdan is an All-GLVC selection for the first time in her career. She leads the Flyers in average at 18.85 pins per frame and fill percentage, filling frames at an 82 percent clip. She has converted 87.7 percent of her single pins and 80.8 percent of her makeable spares, while striking at a 40 percent clip.
 
Alyson Young (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) was named the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award winner for Lewis.
 
Lewis begins competition in the GLVC Tournament Friday at 8:30 a.m. against Oklahoma Christian at Casino Lanes in Quincy.
