FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- The No. 14 Lewis University men's volleyball team traveled to Georgia and won a pair of matches without dropping a set. The Flyers defeated Morehouse College 3-0 and then overcame Fort Valley State in straight sets.

SET BREAKDOWN
SET 1: Lewis 25, Morehouse 14
Lewis scored the first four points of the contest for an early 4-0 lead. Morehouse looked to rally but Lewis scored three straight off a kills from DeGraaf and Sweitzer, an ace from
Tyler Walenga (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) made it 11-4.
The Flyers kept building on their lead and converted on four straight including kills from Wesley Sweitzer, Yusk and DeGraaf for an 23-12 advantage. Lewis was able to close out the first with a 25-14 victory following the kill from Sweitzer.
SET 2: Lewis 25, Morehouse 10
Morehouse jumped out to an early 2-1 lead but that would be the only time the Mustangs led as the set turned all Lewis. DeGraaf recorded a kill and Sweitzer picked up an ace to give the Flyers a 3-2 lead.
The Mustangs tied it but Lewis scored the next seven out of eight points for a 11-5 lead after an ace from Walenga. Morehouse recorded the next point then Lewis went on to score four straight including a pair of aces from Yusk, giving the Flyers a 17-7 advantage.
Lewis put the match away after another run which included a kill from Pekol to make it 22-9. Morehouse scored the next point before the Flyers netted three straight to win the set.
SET 3: Lewis 25, Morehouse 10
Pekol and Sweitzer started the set with kills for an early 2-0 lead. Morehouse made it 3-2, then the Flyers scored nine unanswered points, including a pair of kills from DeGraaf,
Josh Weyerhaeuser (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) and Hoying as well as a pair of aces from DeGraaf.
Lewis dominated the entire third set, after their 9-0 run, the Flyers never looked back. Sweitzer gave the Flyers a 22-6 advantage after converting on a pair of service aces.
Morehouse tried to put together a rally after recording back-to-back points, making it 24-10 Lewis.
Quin Zilch (Media, Penn./The Shipley School) won the match for the Flyers after picking up the kill.

SET 1: Lewis 25, Fort Valley State 13
Lewis jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after Oguz recorded an ace. Fort Valley attempted to get back in the set after narrowing the score to it 6-4 in favor of the Flyers.
The Flyers went on another run, including four straight points after blocks from Krueger-Beer, Haber and Oguz. The Wildcats recorded back-to-back points to make it a 20-13 set in favor of the Flyers.
Lewis managed to win five straight points, including a pair of kills from Shawn Baggs. The Flyers took set 1, 25-13.
SET 2: Lewis 25, Fort Valley State 15
Oguz began the second set with back-to-back kills for an early 2-0 lead. FVU managed to make it down to 11-9.
Lewis scored four straight points to put the set out of reach after kills from Oguz and Haber, giving the Flyers a 15-9 lead. The closest the Wildcats got was 16-12 midway through the set.
The Flyers forced set point after scoring eight out of the next nine, giving Lewis a 24-13 advantage. Fort Valley scored the next two points until Oguz sealed the set for the Flyers with a kill.
SET 3: Lewis 25, Fort Valley State 14
Lewis jumped out to early 4-1 lead in the set, looking for the sweep after a pair of kills from Haber. Fort Valley attempted to fight back and made it a 8-5 set in favor of the Flyers.
The Flyers scored seven straight points including three consecutive blocks, giving Lewis a 15-5 advantage putting the set and the match away. The Wildcats tried to put a rally together after recording back-to-back points, making it 22-11 in favor of the Flyers.
It was already too late for a comeback as Lewis had the upper hand. The Flyers were able to sweep the match and win their ninth straight set after Roquet recorded a kill.
