COLUMBUS, OH-- The No. 14 Lewis University men's volleyball team lost in four sets on Saturday (April 5) to MIVA opponent The Ohio State Buckeyes.

SET BREAKDOWN
SET 1: Ohio State 28, Lewis 26
The Buckeyes took the first point of the game only for Haber to get the first Flyers point with a kill. Starting right away, the Flyers offensive production could not keep up with Ohio State as the Buckeyes seemingly held a two point advantage during the start of the set. 
Lewis came close to taking the lead near the end of the set with a two point run off a Buckeyes service error ad a block by Frederick Kruegar-Beer and Roquet. after some more back and forth the Flyers finally took the lead for the first time with a three point run with a kill from Baggs and two attack errors to make it a 25-24 lead but lost out on the opportunity to take the win with a service error. 
The Buckeyes would take the win with a three point run to make it a 28-26 first game. 
 
SET 2: Ohio State 26, Lewis 24
Once again Ohio State got out to an early lead quickly going up 4-1 and then 10-5 in the early plays of the second set. the Buckeyes lead was made smaller by a four point run by Lewis thanks to kills by 
Cameron Hoying (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) and Roquet with a serving ace by Haber to make it 12-10 Ohio State. 
The set went back and forth between the two squads with Lewis being able to tie the game at 18 with a three point run with kills by Oguz and Morgan with a black by 
Piotr Wymoczyl (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove HS) and Roquet. The Flyers were able to tie the game once again at 24 with two kills by Haber and Oguz but the Buckeyes took another set with a 26-24 score.
SET 3: Lewis 25, Ohio State 22
Lewis took the first lead of the third set with a kill by Morgan and bad set from the Buckeyes. Ohio State took a quick lead but lost it after a four point run by the Flyers thanks to an error, a Baggs Ace, a block by Roquet and Wymoczyl and capped off by a kill by Oguz for a 6-3 Lewis lead. Both squads would go on to exchange two point drives for a while until it was a 12-11 Lewis lead. 
Lewis began to pull towards the third set finish line with a three point run from a kill by Oguz and two blocks by Wymoczyl/Haber and Wymoczyl/Oguzhan.
Lewis capped off the set with another three point run with a block from Baggs and Haber an Ohio State attack error and a Oguz kill. Final point came off of a serving ace from the Flyers and took set three.
SET 4: Ohio State 25, Lewis 18
 Lewis took an early 2-0 lead with another kill from Oguz and a service ace from Haber. Ohio State put together a few quick and short runs to make it a 10-7 game with Lewis trailing. 
The Flyers were able to tie the game with a three point run off of an attack error, a kill by Oguz and a kill by Haber. The Buckeyes would power through and take both the set and the match with a 25-18 score.
FINAL SCORE: Ohio State 3, Lewis 1
