Romeoville, Ill. - On Monday, August 25th, the 2025 Athletics Annual Funds Campaign started and is already off to a strong start. Last year we raised over $240,000 to help support all of athletics from over 530 donors. The generosity of our donors made last year's campaign the most successful ever and this year, Lewis athletics strives for even higher heights.
Here at Lewis University, there isn't a booster club that provides a t-shirt, ticket preference, or any other perk in return for giving to the Flyers. That means every single dollar donated improves the lives of our student-athletes – whether that is directly to the team, to the Athletic Annual Fund, or to our new Strength & Conditioning program.
Tim Ferrarell ('79 '83) has graciously pledged $25,000 that will match gifts dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per donor. Brand new this year is the Flyer Challenge Week from October 6
th through October 10
th. Thanks to the generosity of Adler Roofing and Sheet Metal, each day will have goals for teams and the winners will receive bonuses to support their programs.
With the support of generous donors, Lewis Athletics reached 11
th place in the Learfield Director's Cup, the highest finish of any Division I or II school in the state of Illinois. Still, the Flyers are looking to soar higher and enter the top 10. To help accomplish our goals for this upcoming year, we are asking for all of our supporters to increase their support by 10% this year.
If you have any questions or would like to talk more about supporting Lewis Athletics at a higher level to help our student-athletes fly higher, please reach out to
