Romeoville, Ill. – Sunday afternoon at Lewis Stadium, the Lewis Flyers and Quincy battled to a scoreless draw, as both defenses stodd strong across 90 minutes of action.
After the result, Lewis moved to 1-0-2 on the season, while Quincy shifted to 1-1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis created chances early and often, but entered halftime tied, 0-0 despite multiple shot attempts. In the second half, Quincy nearly broke the deadlock in the 80th minute off a shot from Morgan Tucker, but sophomore
Josie Graziosi (Galena, OH/Big Walnut) turned the ball aside to keep both sides scoreless and seal the 0-0 draw.
Lewis finished the match with an 11-9 advantage in total shots and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Both Graziosi and Quincy keeper Devin Tracy played the full 90 minutes.
GAME NOTES
- Today marked the first draw between Lewis and Quincy since Oct. 8, 2004.
- Lewis attempted zero shots on goal for the first time since Sept. 8, 2023 against Northern Michigan.
- Graziosi pitched her first clean sheet of the 2025 campaign with her three saves.
