NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Lewis University men's cross country team captured the small school championship at the National Catholic Invite on Friday (Sept. 19), finishing first among non-Division I programs and placing third overall with 110 points.
Junior
Evan Horgan (Loves Park, Ill./Belvidere North) led the Flyers with an 18th-place finish in the 8K, clocking 25:04. Close behind was sophomore Camyn Viger, who took 20th in 25:15. Senior
Zack Dunn (Merrilville, Ind./Merrilville) finished in 25th with a time of 25:24, followed by junior
Gabriel Cates (Purcellville, Vir./Loudoun Valley) in 28th at 25:30. Senior
Owen Thomas (Valparaiso, IN/Morgan Township) rounded out the Flyers' top five, finishing 29th in 25:36.
