HOW IT HAPPENED
The Flyers defense controlled the early portions of the contest as they limited the Bulldogs to 0-7 shooting from the floor while adding six scores of their own during the opening 6:42 of the evening.

The Bulldogs had a reply as a Marquis Carver-Smith basket ignited a 13-2 run that spanned the next 4:32 of the contest which propelled Truman State into the lead for good, 13-8, with 8:50 left in the first half. The visitors never relented and outscored Lewis 26-8 over the remainder of the opening credenza and entered the locker room with a 39-16 advantage.

Out of the halftime break, the Bulldogs never let their double-digit advantage diminish and used multiple long scoring stretches to leave Romeoville with a 74-40 win.
