Indianapolis, Ind. – After claiming the Great Lakes Valley Conference Regular Season Championship and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament last year, the Lewis University softball team was selected fourth overall in the GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced this afternoon.
Defending champions UIndy topped the poll with 189 points and 11 first-place votes while Drury came in second with 170 points and two first-place votes. In-state rival McKendree landed in third place with 166 points and one first-place vote. Lewis placed fourth with 166 points and one first-place vote while UIS closed out the top five with 143 points. Maryville (140), Missouri S&T (107), Truman State (104), Rockhurst (103), Missouri-St. Louis (86), Southwest Baptist (62), Lincoln (43), William Jewell (43), Upper Iowa (34), and Quincy (26) rounded out the remainder of the poll.

Kristen Graham (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs High School) and
Allie Wondrasek (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West High School) along with All-GLVC honorable mention
Anna Frafjord (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton High School) are back for the Flyers. During 2025, Graham hit .323 at the plate with 50 total hits, 37 runs scored, hit 10 doubles, eight home runs, which ranked tied for sixth in the GLVC, while driving in 54 runs, a mark that was second in GLVC. Graham also collected regional honors as she was named to the D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team as well. As for Wondrasek, she ended the year with 18 wins in the circle while posting a 2.26 ERA. The New Lenox, Ill., native tossed 22 complete games and her 2.26 ERA ranked fifth in the GLVC. Frafjord, the Sussex, Wis., native ended the year with a .973 fielding percentage for the Flyers and ranked third on the Flyers with 58 total hits.

Becky Pearl. Over her 11 seasons with the Flyers, she has amassed 294 wins, led the Flyers to the 2023 GLVC Tournament Championship, was named the 2025 GLVA Coach of the Year, mentored 21 All-GLVC athletes and coached NFCA and D2CCA NCAA Division II All-American
Delaney Garden (Carpentersville, IL/Harry D. Jacobs High School), just the fifth All-American in program history.
Pearl led the Flyers to 37 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Midwest Regional for the third consecutive season during the 2025 campaign. Four members of the team earned All-GLVC accolades with Garden,
Kristen Graham (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs High School),
Allie Wondrasek (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West High School) and Ann Frafjord each collecting the honor. Additionally, Garden and Wondrasek were named NFCA All-Midwest Region honorees with Garden going on to earn NFCA and D2CCA NCAA Division II All-American accolades to become the programs fifth All-American.
The Flyers begin their season this Thursday at 2:30 p.m. against Emporia State in Dallas, Texas.
