Five Lewis Softball Players Named CSC Academic All-District

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams were announced Tuesday (May 27), selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom as five members of the Lewis softball team saw their name on the list. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Anna Frafjord (Sussex, WI/Hamilton High School), Delaney Garden (Carpentersville, IL/Harry D. Jacobs High School), Kristen Graham (Mapleton, IL/Illini Bluffs High School), Erica Hoffman (Hebron, IN/Boone Grove High School) and Allie Wondrasek (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way West High School) were all awarded this distinction. Frafjord, Garden, Graham, Wondrasek were also selected as a CSC All-American finalists and will advance to the national ballot for voting.

Frafjord currently has a 3.70 cumulative grade point average and is pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. She was also an All-GLVC Third Team after playing and starting all 57 contests for the Flyers this season.  The first baseman posted a .322 batting average with 58 total hits, 32 runs scored eight home runs and 49 runs batted in. 

Garden continues to add to her trophy case after being named All-District and hopes to add another All-American honor to her resume. The two-way player graduated recently with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Culture and recorded a 3.79 cumulative grade point average. 

On the mound, the senior posted an 18-10 record during the season, earning her the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year award. She was also recognized as GLVC Pitcher of the Week three times this season and was a unanimous All-GLVC First Team selection, marking her third consecutive first-team honor.  

She posted a conference-best 1.55 earned run average, ranking 28th in NCAA Division II. She threw 25 complete games (fifth in the nation), recorded seven shutouts (13th in the nation) and held opposing batters to a .199 batting average over 202.2 innings pitched. Her 237 strikeouts rank 10th in the country. 

At the plate, Garden hit in all 57 contests for Lewis, helping her earn GLVC Player of the Year honors as well. She led the conference in batting average (.466), which ranks ninth in the nation, while her 62 runs scored also ranks ninth in the country and her 96 hits lead the nation.

Graham has a 3.57 grade point average in her current exercise science major. Graham was also awarded All-GLVC First Team and D2CCA Midwest Region Second Team honors after her performance on the field.  The catcher played in 56 out of the 57 contests for the Flyers this season. She hit .323 at the plate with 50 total hits, 37 runs scored, hit 10 doubles, eight home runs, which ranks tied for sixth in the GLVC, while driving in 54 runs, second in GLVC. 

Hoffman is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and has achieved a 3.68 cumulative grade point average so far. Hoffman was one of three players to play and start in all 57 contests for this season. The infielder recorded 46 hits, 27 runs scored and drove home 22 runs. 

Wondrasek is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, recording a 3.56 cumulative grade point average up to this point. Wondrasek was named All-GLVC First Team and NFCA All-Midwest Region Second Team for her performance on the mound. Wondrasek posted an 16-7 record in the circle in 179.1 innings of work. The junior ranked second in the GLVC with a 2.26 earned run average with 22 complete games and four shutouts in the circle. 
 
Academic Standing: 
  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • Student-athletes must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player.
  • Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
  • The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.

Athletic Eligibility: Sport-specific Nomination Criteria
  • SOFTBALL - Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
