Romeoville, Ill. – Clippd Scoreboard released its first 2026-27 rankings Wednesday (Oct. 14), with the Lewis women's golf team tabbed No. 7 in the Division II East Region.
This marks the first time the Flyers have been ranked since last year, when they were No. 9 in the final poll of the 2025-26 season. Three other GLVC schools are also ranked with UMSL (No. 3), McKendree (No. 6) and UIndy (No. 10) making an appearance within the top 10. The Flyers currently have a scoring average of 304.66, their lowest in the past four years. The rankings are based on team finishes at tournaments during the fall and spring seasons and are subject to change. Individually, Sophia Lawler (Racine, Wis./Prairie), Kyra Simon (Rockford, Ill./Winnebago), Eve Garvey (Al Rayyan, Doha, Qatar/American School of Doha) and Ellie Johnson (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) are all ranked in the region's top 50, with Lawler holding the highest ranking at No. 32. The Flyers are also ranked No. 39 nationally.
Lewis most recently claimed its first victory of the season at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, hosted at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. The Flyers will compete this weekend at the Panther Fall Invite, hosted by Davenport from Oct. 16-18 in Augusta, Mich.
